The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) Steinhoff Koshuis league has been going since early March and things are tight at the top with a number of teams still in with a shout for qualification to the knockout phase.
Bay XV are the team currently setting the pace after winning five out of their six matches, but they are being closely pursued by Oceans who have not lost a game but have drawn two.
Oppidani and Harlequins are both within striking distance of the top two teams as they have games in hand, but if they lose focus they also run the risk of being passed by a team in the chasing pack.
Northernz, the team that represented NMMU in the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championship this year, have - surprisingly - lost all of their games to date and face a serious uphill battle to get back into title contention this season.
