Adjusting the Barbarians

This past weekend's happenings in Bloemfontein saw some changes in the Barbarians side at the University of the Free State (UFS). However, none of those changes were too drastic.

For starters, it is now official that a 23rd man is allowed at every Barbarians tournament. So W Steenkamp from JBM has been chosen by Kovsies-Rugby to fill this crucial slot.

On September 23 this Baa-baas team - compiled from the best koshuis rugby players at the UFS - will go to Tuks to take on a similar side from the University of Pretoria in the Barbarians rugby competition.

Juan Bekker (Karee) and Pieter Myburgh (Armentum) will coach the Kovsies Barbarian side in Pretoria, whilst Rocky le Roux (Kovsies-Rugby) will serve as the team manager.
