Cape Town, batten down your hatches, there is a storm coming. This is the unequivocal warning emanating from the FNB NWU-Puk Young Guns side as they prepare to face the FNB UCT Young Guns on Monday afternoon at the Green Mile.
The visitors lost their opening fixture against FNB NMMU by 12-points and will like nothing more than to turn things around against the Capetonians.
Coach Melusi Mthethwa has made three changes and one position shift to his side with fullback De Wet Terblanche, wing Mlondi Mnisi and lock Danny du Plooy getting the nod, whilst Zandre du Plessis moves from lock to blindside flank.
The boys from North West always struggle to adapt to the windy conditions so prevalent down at the coast and tactical kicking played a big part in their preparations. They’ll need to be spot-on in this department if they want to get their first win of the tournament under the belt. But they are a side who will walk a thousand miles and a thousand Green Miles more for a win.
