The men form Alice will hope to keep the points ticking over, after their maiden win against FNB UWC last week. FNB UFH registered their first win in front of their home crowd, but it’s still early days.
“We are finally off the mark,” said captain Zanoxolo Qwele. “We are in the run for that semi-final spot, and we intend on staying in the run till the end. A win is merely a stage, it is rather the concentration and ability to stay winning that is difficult, but I strongly believe that the team has what it takes.”
FNB UFH will look to keep the momentum going. It has never been an easy encounter against the men from FNB UKZN, as the visitors have never registered a win in Durban. It should be fireworks for 80 minutes at the Peter Booysen Sports Park this Monday.
“With every game played, a lesson is learnt, and that is how silverware is won,” said Coach Carlos Katywa. “We learnt a lot from the WSU and UWC games, so going into the UKZN game we have prepared hard for it. The players growing into the style of the play, so happy days are upon us.”
FNB UFH have made a few changes to their side, with winger Athiphila Mlotywa coming into the starting line-up, as well as Siphoxolo Zaula
