On Monday 17 April, FNB Tuks will host FNB Maties as the top two universities lock horns in the tenth FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International final. Thirty-two schools across the country will watch on proudly, as one or more of their past pupils take to the field.

In honour of these 32 schools, Varsity Cup is delivering the unique Varsity Cup Pink Ball, which contains the names of all the Springboks to have participated in the competition over the past 10 years, to the headmasters of all 31 schools.

Each high school will receive a personal letter from Varsity Cup CEO, Duitser Bosman, congratulating the school on producing one or more players of such high calibre, to be representing a team participating in a Varsity Cup final.

Paarl Boys had seven representatives in last year’s final and once again are the most represented with seven. Interestingly, they have representatives on both teams, with five in the FNB Maties team and two in the FNB Tuks team. Paul Roos feature five players, all representing FNB Maties.
