Round Four of the UJ Steinhoff Koshuis Rugby league was headlined by the return of Steinhoff Oppierif, after serving a two-match ban and being docked points. They made their long awaited returned and enjoyed a feeding frenzy against helpless Steinhoff Kilimanjaro as they thrashed them 64-7. They have now moved off the foot of the table and aim to qualify for the top spots with six rounds remaining.

Title chasers Steinhoff Cornerstone succumbed to their first defeat of the season as they lost 12-22 to Steinhoff Jabali.  The result meant that the latter climbs to second position while Steinhoff Cornerstone fall to third.

It was business as usual for table toppers, as Steinhoff Chiropractors went ‘the whole nine yards’ and came out victorious in a tight clash with Steinhoff Maqhawe, as they won 17-12. They have yet to lose a game this season and hold a four-point gap over the chasers.

Behemoth clash as Steinhoff Chiros face Steinhoff Oppierif

In a repeat of the 2016 UJ Steinhoff Koshuis Rugby League final, champions Steinhoff Chiros face Steinhoff Oppierif. Steinhoff Chiros are looking unstoppable with four wins in a row and Steinhoff Oppierif’s recent resurgence makes for a huge clash as both teams have the incentive to win.

Bottom of the pile, Steinhoff Kilimanjaro, face another up-hill battle as they take on second-placed Steinhoff Jabali who are looking to extend the gap between second and third. Steinhoff Kilomenjaro will need to pull a ‘rabbit out of a hat’ – they are the only team in the league yet to win a match.

The final clash will see Steinhoff Cornerstone take on Steinhoff Maqhawe in a mid-table clash. With only points difference separating these two, it will be a tough one to call on who takes the points in this game.
