Steinhoff Kopano lifted themselves up from the bottom of the log as they picked up their first win of the season against Steinhoff Leo Marquard, who now remain the only team to have not picked up any points so far this season.
After sitting on equal points after game week four, Steinhoff Ubombo came out with a win against Steinhoff Smuts which sees them being tied with Steinhoff Knights for fifth place. It is only through their superior points difference that Steinhoff Knights remain ahead of them.
Following their first win of the season, Steinhoff Saints weren’t able to cope with Steinhoff Cobras as they lost 40-0. It was almost a perfect day for the defending champions as they scored six tries and completed five conversions to reclaim their spot on top of the log.
In the final match of the day, Steinhoff CVU Vikings continued their bid for top spot as they overcame Steinhoff Knights by a score line of 17-0. They now find themselves in second place while having played two more games than the teams below them, which means they could potentially slip down to fourth or fifth position if other results don’t go their way.
Steinhoff Nadoes and Steinhoff Turtles had a bye for game week five.
