Steinhoff Oppierif made light work of Steinhoff Maghawe to win the final 31-10 in Johannesburg on Thursday evening.
The final between Steinhoff Oppierif and Steinhoff Maqhawe got off to an electric start. The stadium was heavily packed with the partisan crowd in favour of Steinhoff Oppierif. Following a dominating opening period, Steinhoff Oppierif duely took the lead after Steinhoff Maqhawe succumbed to the persistent pressure and Steinhoff Oppierif scored a try.
The conversion was scored and it was 7-0 to Steinhoff Oppierif. The game began to get physical and the match definitely felt like a cup final. They further extended their lead with a penalty and Steinhoff Oppierif were dominanting the first half.
Not to be outplayed, Steinhoff Maqhawe got on the scoreboard with a penalty, however Steinhoff Oppierif were playing like a house on fire and dotted down for their second try of the game, 17-3 going into halftime.
The beginning of the second half spelt the end off the contest as Steinhoff Oppierif scored a breathtaking try from the 50m line and were comfortablely ahead 24-3 with 20 minutes of play still to go.
Steinhoff Maqhawe managed to put some respect in the score line and scored a try with 10 minutes left to play. The score was 24- 10.
Steinhoff Oppierif made sure that the trophy was signed, sealed and delivered when they scored the fourth try and won the cup final 31-10.
