Steinhoff Sonop head coach, Dinos Kaparos, has named a well-balanced match day squad for their Steinhoff Koshuis Rugby Championship debut against Steinhoff Helderberg at the Tuks Rugby Stadium on Monday, 27 February.
Bert Rossouw will lead the team from the back of the scrum with the team full of passionate young men who cannot wait to get stuck into this new experience.
“I’m extremely happy with how the training sessions have been going. We’ve been working hard since last November and the intensity has not changed one bit. Our last practice saw the entire 33-man squad out training in the pouring rain. We have it in us to win this competition, that’s how strongly I believe in this team,” said Kaparos.
Kaparos is adamant that they are not taking the Steinhoff Helderberg challenge lightly.
“It is both teams first time in the competition so I know Helderberg will be just as up for the challenge as we are,” said Kaparos.
