In a battle of the forwards, TUT lock Raniel Turner was sublime in set plays. He had safe hands-on own lineout throws and was just as lethal on those of the opposition, stealing two, one of which resulted in a try.
Romauld Nsombamanya (FNB UWC)
UWC number 8 RomauldNsombamanya was in stellar form in the lineout and at the back of the scrum. His high work rate was rewarded with two tries and the award as the FNB Player That Rocks.
Mpumelelo Mavuso (FNB Madibaz)
Being on the road for an away game didn’t bother Madibaz scrumhalf Mpumelelo Mavuso. He displayed great technical ability in directing play between the forwards and the backline, resulting in being chosen as the Player That Rocks.
Awonke Sondishe (FNB WSU)
WSU captain Awonke Sondishe handled his leadership role fantastically and made sure his presence was noticed. He displayed excellent footwork skills, controlled his backline well and put in crushing tackles at crucial times.
